Community Guidelines

Our commitment to respectful, transparent, and constructive civic participation.

Effective Date: July 17, 2026 Last Updated: July 17, 2026

Our Commitment

Public Pulse is committed to fostering respectful, transparent, and constructive civic participation. These Community Guidelines help ensure the Platform remains a trusted place for Canadians to participate in public opinion questions and contribute to civic engagement.

Respectful Participation

You agree to participate honestly, respectfully, and lawfully. You should submit information that you believe to be accurate, respect the privacy and rights of others, and use the Platform only for its intended civic engagement purposes.

Local Issue Submissions

Users may submit local civic issues for editorial review. Before publication, submissions may be reviewed, edited, summarized, rewritten, categorized, approved, declined, or removed at Public Pulse's sole discretion. Submission of an issue does not guarantee publication.

Prohibited Content

You must not submit content that is false or intentionally misleading, defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, confidential, unlawful, infringing of intellectual property rights, promotional in nature, or intended to impersonate another person or organization.

Editorial Independence

Public Pulse maintains full editorial independence. We reserve the right to edit, summarize, reject, remove, or decline any submission without notice. Publication of content does not indicate that Public Pulse has independently verified its accuracy.

Fair Participation

To maintain confidence in participation results, users must not create multiple accounts, vote more than once on the same question, use bots or automated tools, attempt to manipulate participation, or interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.

Enforcement

Public Pulse may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Community Guidelines, the Terms of Use, or applicable law.
